48th ANNUAL CONFERENCE

48th Annual Conference of Gujarat Economic Association was organized jointly by GEA and M. B. Arts and Commerce Collage, Gondal(Saurashtra).
Conference Inaugurated by Vice Chancellor of Saurashtra University Dr. Pratapsinh Chauhan on 9th February, 2018. Inaugural ceremony was presided over by Smt. Geetaba Jadeja, M. L. A. Gondal. Also presence of Smt. Manishaben Savaliya-President Gondal Muncipality, Prof. Dr. Rohit Shukla- President GEA, Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar- President of this conference, Dr. Anil Thkur- Secretary Indian Economic Association.
As per the tradition after formal inauguration Dr. Bhalchandra Mungekar delivered conference presidential address. Tital of presidential address was, “The Challenge of Inequality”. He is former member of Rajya sabha, former member of Planning commission, former vice chancellor Mumbai University and Chairman Indian Institute of Advance Study, Simla.
On the day of Inauguration Prof. Alok Kumar. delivered Prof. B. R. Shenoy Memorial Lecture on, “Changing on the path of development”. He is professor of St. John's College, Agra.
